Description:

65% CEREMONIAL AZTEC CHOCOLATE

Domantas Uzpalis, Chocolatier: “Moctezuma, the grim Aztec emperor, sat alone on the balcony overlooking Lake Texcoco in Tenochtitlán. The humid scent of smoke, spices, and vanilla wafted up to him from the bustling central market. A golden chalice filled with liquid chocolate rested in the emperor's palms. After taking a generous sip, Moctezuma gazed into the chalice, trying to interpret the chocolate foam as if it were a portal to the future. At the same time, the ambitious Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés was working on the details of the siege of Tenochtitlán, which he would soon lead to end the rule of the Aztec Empire forever…”

The cocoa beans used by Domantas are a special, homemade blend of beans of excellent quality, currently sourced mostly from Venezuela.
