Description:

The first time Morin bought Peruvian beans in 2002, it was just a few full bags, the origin of the beans was fully traceable.

The quality was remarkable, and they were immediately very curious to discover other cocoa varieties from other cooperatives and regions. Everything came together in 2004. Since then, Morin has been working with the founders, a French-Peruvian couple who engage in direct trade with the producers, within an import chain.

In Peru, the beans are sun-dried and all crops are harvested several times a year – the most important harvests being from December to March and from June to August. Their cultivation methods are purely organic.

These cocoa plantations are located in the center of the country, in the foothills of the Andes. They are therefore quite hilly, and the cocoa trees grow in the shade of tropical forests up to 30 meters high. The processing of the beans is done collectively. Each cocoa farmer harvests their crop, and fermentation and drying are carried out together. The cultivation methods are purely organic.

Taste: Fresh citrus notes combined with soft, rounded honey aromas. Ingredients: Cocoa mass from cocoa beans*, cane sugar*, cocoa butter*, sunflower lecithin*.

*ORGANIC

May contain traces of milk, nuts, peanuts and sesame.
